“I went in having read many positive reviews … I have to say they were incredibly helpful, informative … and I did not even buy anything on the visit. I will be following up with them – and know with whom I will do business. Thank you.”

Gold Rush Jewelers Is Proud To Be Located In Novato
Novato is something of a hidden gem. As the northernmost city in Marin County, it enjoys a more rural character than many of its southern neighbors. Surrounded by abundant nature it is a great place to live, work, and enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of trails, bike paths, and open spaces – including the view from 1,558 foot Mt. Burdell.
Since prehistoric times the area that is now Novato was home of the Miwok Indians, and their culture and heritage is celebrated at the Marin Museum of the American Indian as well as at Olompali State Historic Park. Olompali features the oldest house north of San Francisco Bay, built of adobe by a chief of the Miwok. His son was then granted the only Mexican-era land grant held by a Californian Native American. Olompali is also the site of a famous Hippy commune that resided in the Burdell Mansion in the sixties, attracting flower children and famous musicians like Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and the Grateful Dead. The commune even appears on one of the Grateful Dead’s album covers.
Novato is also home to historic Hamilton Airfield, established in the twenties, decommissioned in the seventies, and now a planned community with residential, commercial, and civic spaces – as well as open space.
We at Gold Rush Jewelers have had the honor of being part of this thriving, beautiful, historic community since 2011 and we look forward to continuing to call it home and serve our wonderful town for many years to come.
